Recent completed or ongoing initiatives in food environments

Hi everyone, I am a Knowledge Translation Scientist at the NCCEH. I'm looking for provincial or local projects or initiatives to improve local food environments that have recently been implemented, evaluated, or are currently ongoing related to the following areas:

Community food environment

  • Farmer’s markets
  • Mobile healthy food vending
  • Providing or promotion financial incentives for healthy food retailers
  • Community and school gardens
  • Improve transportation/access to full service grocery stores

Consumer food environment

  • Healthy corner stores
  • Within-store promotion and education
  • Menu labelling
  • Healthy check-out lanes
