Experiences with BC First Nations community-based radon testing: Successes and lessons learned
This paper describes the key components of a three-year, on-reserve, community-wide residential radon testing project involving three Interior BC First Nations communities that resulted in an impressive 97% response rate for radon testing. The paper highlights the activities and considerations that led to the success of this program and offers insights into how testing rates can be increased for environmental health service organizations and other groups working with communities who face challenges similar to those identified in the participating First Nations communities.
